One permission layer, several possible sources
Health Connect gives supported Android apps a common place to read and write approved health and fitness records. If another app writes sleep, heart-rate, or activity records, Rest Coach may be able to use selected summaries after you grant access.
Availability depends on your Android version, source apps, record types, and permissions. A connection does not guarantee that every field exists.
What Rest Coach should do with the data
The coach can use a sleep-session summary to ask a sharper question: Was the late bedtime intentional? Did a workout, shift, illness, or wake-up explain the change? The record starts the conversation; it does not finish it.
When multiple apps write similar records, source handling matters. Rest Coach should preserve the origin where the platform makes it available and avoid pretending duplicate data is extra certainty.
Your control stays in Android
You can review Health Connect access, change permissions, and disconnect apps. Rest Coach should not require the connection for basic coaching and should explain what disappears when access is removed.
